Hate to say it, the first Evil Dead is still my favorite of the series, and fits in my Top 5 horror flicks, I think.
That could change tomorrow, though.
Honestly, the first Evil Dead is the one I prefer, too, so I'm right there with you man. Youtube didn't have any cool embeddable Evil Dead clips, though, haha, so I had to go with those Evil Dead 2 clips, which I also love. But you're right, Evil Dead preference changes like the wind.
